Editing document information (metadata)

The document information settings allow you to set the title, author, subject and keywords metadata information for a PDF file.

SEO tip. If you're publishing your PDF on the Web, then make sure you fill in the title field -- text in this field is displayed prominently in Google's search results. If you publish a PDF file with an empty title field, then Google will display the PDF's file name prominently instead.

  1. Open PDF Hammer.
  2. Click Browse, select a PDF file, and then click Upload.
  3. Click Advanced Settings.
  4. Enter text into your fields.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Export Final PDF.

Note. If you want to edit more than one PDF file, you must complete each editing task before starting on the next file -- if you upload more than one file at a time they will be combined together when you export and download them.
